Before you touch DNS
Export WordPress with a plugin or wp-cli, but also export email forwards and cron jobs you forgot about. Lower TTLs 24–48 hours early. Confirm SSL issuance path on the new account—Let’s Encrypt needs correct hostnames. Read /docs for cPanel task links.
During the move
Stage on a temporary URL, verify WooCommerce webhooks, and replay payment test mode. If you are on WordPress hosting at HostStack, use the same theme + plugin set to diff behaviour.
After go-live
